Hello Forum,
Can I use B&Q Multipurpose peat free compost to grow veg in containers?
Would there be any chemical / health issues.
I've just noticed it inly metions plants and flowers on bag.

Hi John
You might also notice that it says "enough fertilizer to last 4 weeks" on the bag... This isn't nearly enough time to grow anything other than the odd radish or pick and come again lettuce. You would have to fortify it regularly.
The fertilizer is chemical too (unless otherwise stated on the bag) It can be mixed into the soil as a bulking agent though if you are not fussy about organic labeling... _________________ if you are interested in raised vegetable beds and veggie growing I have a new website - raisedbeds.net We're busy on social networking too and have over 12,000 members in the group. |
