Quick rabbit proof fence question

Hi All;

I ordered the galavanised rabbit proof fence and when it arrived yesterday I just realised i did order the pvc coated one.

Will the galavanised one last long in the Irish weather or am i better off shipping it back(paying the costs) and getting pvc coated one?

Probably cost me extra 50 euro with all the shipping costs and extra cost for the pvc fence etc.

The galvanised one is the better of the two when it comes to standing up to the weather so just paint it.

How would the galvanised one last longer than the pvc coated one with galvanised under it? Sorry if stupid question.

What would you paint on the galvanised one? Is there a special paint?

Sorry my mistake, I presumed the PVC ones were just coated mild steel.
