Hi just wondering is there any organic treatment for canker on apple trees
These apple trees are fenced into a hen run which may explain the canker
If not what is the best treatment for them

ps does anyone know if rotten silage is a good mulch for fruit trees seemed to work very well last year

hens and apple trees do not go well together. Plums and blackcurrants go well with hens, so keep the hens out of the apple tree area. Rotten silage is high in organic matter and nitrogen. Put it in the compost heap or use it as dung in potatoes or cabbages.
