Can anyone recommend a variety of waxy not floury new potato to plant and wher in kilkenny might they be available.thank you |

Cultra is a good type.
Dunno where you'd get them in Kilkenny though. |

Try pink fir apple. A knobbly, 200 year old variety, with a nutty flavour. They are good steamed, boiled, and useful in stews and salads. Last year I got some either from the garden centres in Kilkenny, or else the one on the Carlow road. I do remember that they sold them in small packs of 10 or so, ideal for a try out crop. |

Try Charlotte as a salad potato, that is easy to grown and tastes just delicious. Seed potatos can be got in homebase. Another brand that is lovely is diseree again seed potatoes can be got in homebase. or Homebase.ie
I know tayto use charlotte for their crisps!!! |
