I was looking for copper beech and admiring the fall colored leaves which stay on the branches during the winter. The nurseryman told me to pre order for spring delivery when the plants come in bare rooted. That would be the time to plant and when you have the best pick of healthy stock that hasn't been root balled into weak and unshapely form. Here's the soil type they do best in. |
