hi all
just wondering if i added a load of mulched leaves and grass to the veggie beds in the next month or so and dug it in would it be rotted enough to plant in to next spring.

That is a good idea especially at present when the soil is workable and there is a good supply of leaves. A compost heap would be the ideal place for this material and then use the compost the following year. You may not get as good results but it will be beneficial.

thanks michael i was hoping that by shredding the clippings before mixing with the soil they would rot more quickly.my compost bin is constantly full and i dont have room for another one.
