hi I have just signed in and am confused by all the information on this site. I really need to know a few things about (1) which hedge would suit wet ground, (2) when to sow it, (3) a hedge that will grow fast giving good cover and shelter(4) thinking of sowing griselinia, escallonia, fuchsia or hawthorn which would be best suited to the above questions. Where could I buy in bulk near wexford? hope someone out there can help me

Here's the perfect person to help you and give you any advice you need: John Joe Hyland in Oulart :
http://www.hylands-nursery.com/index.html

He's planted a mixed native hedge for us and it's growing brilliantly.......if you want to plant it yourself, you can just buy the plants from him. Whatever you decide, wait till the bare-root season before you buy anything.....far cheaper.
