Today, hubby and I went for a stroll along the blackberry and blackcurrant lined rail track that is situated close to the beach in front of our house.

I saw my first ever cricket at close range when berry picking and what looked like a yellow abdomened dragonfly in the bushes. Quite beautiful.

We ate well tonight, with blackberry crumble for dessert. Tomorrow it will be roast duck or chicken and blackberry wine sauce.

Still got enough berries left to make a chocolate blackberry cake. Yum.

Mralgae,

I'd never compare you to a donkey, lol, you are far too clever and probably much better looking.

The berry picking part was def' catching on. Another young couple who had a great dane pup, that was the size of a small pony joined our endevours on the spur, then after that, there was an elderly man who ate off the bush. Later still another couple arrived and had a go, just managing not to fall into the ditch.

We would have gleaned tons more but there was a big ditch between us and the berries.

There's plenty to go round at any rate for the insects, birds and the humans, lol.

Some things never change I'm glad to say.

God is good.
