I have almost 2 acres of grass, not lawn, grass. I have a huge problem with plantain (english Plantain I think). I end up cutting the grass mostly to cut the plantain flowers (what we called soldiers when we were kids). I live in the countryside so I will always get weeds coming in from surrounding fields. Anyway, to my question. I am looking for a weedkiller and fertiliser to deal with the plantain without killing the grass. Because of the scale of it the usual lawnfeed and weedkiller works out a crazy price. Something more akin to what farmers might use for their grasslands is what I need. |

any weedkiller containing MCPA or 2 4 D if they are available at your garden centre. They are easy to kill but hey usually die at the end of their first year. Keep mowing them to prevent them seeding.
