Hi all,
Jut a query to see if I am doing anything wrong. I have 2 compost bins, one I am currently using, the other left to compost.
I turn them over every week or so and for the first time ever I have gotten lovely compost. BUT seeds are germinating in the bin, and when I use the compost even more germinate in the veg beds. These seeds seem to be lemon, orange, butternut squash, melon etc. Is tris the norm? |

you should ideally have three heaps, one being made one rotting away and the other being used. There is no need to turn the compost. Seeds on the surface will germinate but will soon rot away.
