Where can i get trellis at a reasonable price? Or is it possible to make it yourself? Everywhere i have looked the trellis i require is priced at €50-60. its incredibly over priced i think.
thanks

My husband makes all of our trellises, and they're a lot stronger than the ones in the garden centres too.....he makes his with three layers of laths, and it seems a pretty straightforward project. Another advantage is you can make exactly the shape and size you need.

I agree totally, garden centre prices are way too expensive for what must be a really cheap to make item.

How about recylcable materials for a trellis?

You can use materials like metal stair balustrades ( very decorative even bare ), bamboo canes, copper piping bent into interesting shapes, or wires and hooks on a wall or fence instead of trellis, also recommended is old bedspring bases, bicycle wheels, old wooden ladders, metal mesh fencing, heavy duty chicken wire.

Anyone else got any recyclable trellis ideas?
