I have an aubergine plant doing very well, just starting to develop now but I have one that is close to resting on the soil & I don't want it to rot would straw on top of the soil help? |

put an upturned saucer or plate there as the straw might encourage pests or diseases

dont pinch out yet as there is a long growing season ahead yet until end of September hopefully. Keep feeding and watering.
