My dwarf french beans were planted out about 2 months ago but don't appear to be growing. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Assuming that the french beans were properly hardened off the weather in the past few weeks has been good for them. Check that the soil is not too hard or dried into a solid mass. The beans like a rich roil with plenty humus or organic matter. Though they are legumes (supply their own Nitrogen) they are weak legumes. A liquid feed of Nitrogen rich solution would help. They are subject to magnesium deficiency (cure Epsom salts). if the soil happens to be light and sandy then watering might help a lot. it is unlikely that any pest would affect all the crop at one time. Similarly root diseases are unlikely to affect all the plants at one time. The important thing is that the centre point of the plant is green and intact.

Thanks for that Michael. I will try a different feed on them, I was concerned as I am planting out another batch of them tomorow.
