took a drive around north dublin/meath this afternoon, and the amount of flowers out at the moment is fantastic; fields which look almost as yellow as rapeseed fields, but this time from buttercups, and country lanes lined with the white and purple flowers whose names escape me.
the birch trees in a garden i helped plant up are bowed down with developing seeds, and the apple trees are laden with nascent apples. has anyone else noticed an unusual abundance?
that said, the garden was quiet enough today; not too many bees about, despite plenty of flowers available. |
