Hey All,
I have a space behind / beside my garden shed which i notice gets loads of sunlight. I am thinking of putting in a makeshift greehouse.
Does anyone have and suggestions of PVC over Glass?
What would be the best way to go about it?
I'm thinking i'll line the back (which gets very little sun anyway with Black polythene to attrach the heat. Is this a good or bad idea?
I'm fairly new to this gradening thing, but would love to grow some "greenhouse veggies" but have no room for a proper greenhouse.
Thanks, |

how big is the space
is there a wall to put that black polythene against?
why not move shed back to th wall,
why not get rid of the shed altogether.
then make a big lean-to using the wall try it with a roll of decorators polythene clear stuff from builders merchant cheap stuff, if that works ok do a plan this winter for next year using 4-6mm polycarbonate lasts longer than glass wont fade and can be cut too. |

Thanks Ian,
Well teh Shed was built before i moved into the house, and it is set in concrete, so moving it is not really an option. I also do not want to take it out, because it is really useful...
Behind the shed there is about 4-5 ft and then a high wall. i think i have a design and i'll try using the decorators polythene first and see how i get on!
Thanks again. |
