Could anyone tell me the best place to park a van (my car is 50 years old and I wouldn't take that to Dublin.) when going to Bloom? (Never normally go to Dublin, except the airport)

Hi Kindredspirit,
I'm driving as far as The Red Cow roundabout and parking in the Luas carpark.
The Luas goes from there to Huston station and Bloom are running a free coach transfer from Huston station to the venue.
Parking used to be €4 for the day but it may have gone up.
Take note of the number at the parking bay before you pay.
Hope this helps,
Kay

I had a great day at Bloom thanks to irishgardeners.com. I will sort out all my photos soon to put up. Huge crowds today (was told more than they expected). I have a few words of warning though, the free shuttle had a huge queue early on so we walked up, but it is a fair trek. Also please please please try and pre-book your tickets. The queues to get in were very long if you wanted to buy your tickets there. Overall it is a great day out though, just wanted to warn about the queues.

kindredspirit, I went in my van yesterday and had no problems just parking in the main car park.
Here are some of my favorite gardens on the day, THANKS IRISH GARDENERS.COM FOR THE TICKETS
I think my actual overall favourite was the display by Hortisculptures at the main entrance.
a close second was this garden by Anne Hamilton
More lovely gardens

Loving the pics sunny. Thanks. I noticed a Gunnera planted in front of two statues that wont be long obscuring them.

That a very good point, there is actually quite a few of them planted there, give it a few years and it would be one big Gunnera patch

Have just returned from Bloom. Had a beautiful day in the sunshine. The pics are mostly of plants I liked in the walled garden. Also saw strawberry plants there that were literally laden with fruit. Oh I have so much to learn.
