Did anyone watch "Springwatch" on BBC2 last night ?
It was 60 minutes of sheer bliss ..... all about how so much wildlife exists in British urban areas......how nature still manages to find a foothold in spite of all the concrete.
Well worth seeing if it's ever repeated.

there was a third special on tonight, about the seas around britain - not as good as the first two specials, this one was pretty much all cobbled together from clips from previous series.

There was a section in yesterday's Irish Indo about the rate of extinction of some plant and animal species in Ireland...it's shocking to think about. There are so many that we've already lost and a lot more, many well known, that are on the verge of extinction too...
