I'm just going through the shrubs which "bit the dust" (to use an unfortunate phrase) over the frosty winter.
We have several bedding shrubs in a bed of pea gravel.
Some Phormia seem to be in a poor state. A few of them have collapsed foliage and little sign of life (perhaps apart from at the centre in some cases).
Another shrub which has no foliage and dried out bark and branches is a Pittosporum tenuifolium "Silver Queen"
From google this is specified as "frost hardy" so it is a surprise (like those fuschias in another thread). Anyone else see Pittosporum shrubs die over the winter ?

My neighbour lost a young one, which she had planted about two years ago...completely dead. |
