I am looking for info about installing a reed bed to my septic tank, such as costs, where to get the reeds and so on

Hey cuemaster,

If I remember correctly I read an article about these, and it was Bord na Mona who was the supplier. It'd be worth having a look at their website and seeing. We had to go for a perculation unit for our septic tank and it's a pain in the backside, I'd much prefer the reed bed system. Price-wise the one in the article was €45k, but this was a few years ago, and included the whole treatment system, tank, etc. They called it their 'rolls royce' of waste water treatment, I'm sure they've come down in price since.
