Hi Folks. I have a mystery shrub in a pot and I'd love to plant it out in the garden but need to know more to match it to the correct aspect, etc. Its decidious and at the moment its about to either blossom or produce berries or maybe berry-shaped blossom. Its up to something. Sorry photos arent great. Thanks for help.

it is like a Weigelia, or Diervilla. Will tolerate wide range os soils and aspects. Avoid poorly drained wet soils, it has good wind tolerance but not seas spray. Deciduous and grows to a height of about 5 feet.

Looks like a Deutzia sp. Please post a pic when the flowers are open.

Actually Deutzia is tugging my memory cells. Vague memory of buying one along with several other shrubs but then unfortunately I took ill and didnt get a chance to plant them. Labels always fade no matter what type. I'll add a photo as soon as it flowers. Thanks to both for advice.
