total long shot on this i know as not much to go on but give it a try...LOL
these are growing in total shade in the garden around the shed area. they get no sun at all and the ground is always damp. they where here when we moved in and at first i thought they may be they could be pampas grass but then found out they are a seed, but these are a bulb type.

Looks to be a form of Iris mralgae. Liking the damp soil is a pointer to them as well.

my money is on Crocosmia... actually I am 100% certain....
This South African corm grows well in this country, some might argue a little too well...

wow thanks to you both. to be honest i would not mind them being any of them. just done a google on them and look great to have around the garden. will wait and see what happens when (or if) they flower.

I have clumps in full sun, and in full shade (some got under my hedge)
The ones in the sun flower much better, hence if you don't see flowers this year, after the foliage dies down in winter, transplant it to a sunnier spot.

super duper folks, defo looks similar to the bulbs and leaves i have here, even they not exact if they flower anything like them i will be happy.
dont even know how long they have been here as we only moved in the last 2mths .
really looking forward to them flowering. when they do i will post up some pics of them so we know for sure what they are.

Lucky you, I love the Crocosmia! However, I've only bought it this year and I haven't seen any sign of green coming out of the pot yet so fingers crossed!
