I thought it was an april fool when I heard that Sainsbury in the UK were selling Pineberries.
The look like strawberries but have white flesh with red seeds and taste like pineapple!
We just got a sample at work am I have "acquired" a punnet. I shall put two or three aside to harvest the seeds and try to grow some plants.
Have to say they are amazing and really hope I get success growing some. |

I was in a rental house 2 years ago and discovered white wild strawberries all over the rockery. I took a few plants and they have spread and are now in a few friends gardens. They taste exactly like normal wild strawberries ( wonderful) and I saw on the internet that people that are allergic to strawberries can actually eat these. I am taking great care of the plants and hope to find a good spot in my garden where they can take over. |
