I have sown various types of seed in both black and green seed trays/cells in a poly tunnel..
Have being taking temp readings at night and have found that the black ones have a higher temp of about 1deg C. than the green. They must absorb sun better in the day. _________________ Paul. |

Very interesting. Do you notice a difference in germination dates (you'd imagine the warmer black ones would encourage earlier germination)? What about germination rates and seedling growth?
