Hi,
I've got a palm tree in my front garden that is almost bare since the snow in Jan. Is this tree now dead or will it come back to life? |

It's been the worst winter in ireland since 1963,there would only be a few hardy palms that would survive uncovered last winter them been Trachycarpus Fortunei, Chamaerops Humilis.if your palm is gone brown, give the central spear a slight pull,if it comes out, your palm has roted and is probably dead, even cordylines have taken a beaten and a lot have lost there heads, these will grow back.If your buying palm trees this year i would recommend Trachycarpus Fortunei, this palm would laugh in the face of any cold irish winter, |
