Hi,
I've got a palm tree in my front garden that is almost bare since the snow in Jan. Is this tree now dead or will it come back to life?

It's been the worst winter in ireland since 1963,there would only be a few hardy palms that would survive uncovered last winter them been Trachycarpus Fortunei, Chamaerops Humilis.if your palm is gone brown, give the central spear a slight pull,if it comes out, your palm has roted and is probably dead, even cordylines have taken a beaten and a lot have lost there heads, these will grow back.If your buying palm trees this year i would recommend Trachycarpus Fortunei, this palm would laugh in the face of any cold irish winter,
