could anyone advise which bamboo (if any) is best suited to a spot that never gets direct sunshine? id like a vigorous bamboo to block the view of my neighbours house thanks a million

Probably one of the Fargesias. They like shade.

It might be an idea to contact someone like stambamboo, who can give you really precise advice on which type of bamboo.
