Hi, Yesterday I went mad in Aldi and Lidl lol, bought oodles of bulbs, at those prices, how could anyone resist? My only bulb experience to date is daffs and crocus so this is a new avenue for me> My question is,it states on all the packets, don't plant until after last of frosts, well, with our weather behaving as it is at the moment who knows when that will be!! so I'd like to know what is the absolute latest these bulbs can be planted directly into the beds to ensure flowering and my imagined riot of colour lol. I have a polyhouse so going to container plant some this weekend or is that too soon? Any advice welcomed, thanks in advance.

hi,what types of bulbs did you get?for instance begonias/dahlias can be started off indoors and planted out later on.I have a big order on the way from the uk and they wont be dispatching til late on in march,so you will have time. |

hi,forecast to be cold again this week,to get colder towards next weekend!!!you could start your dahlias off in pots indoors, soak overnight in warm water first and put on a warm window sill.when they sprout shoots about 6 inchs long you can take those as cuttins and get some plants for free!!!good luck |
