Anyone see this weeks program of Nigel Slater's simple food???
Showed a guy on a garlic farm with gorgeous bulbs, but he had one plant which had a long stem about 5-6ft high with a purple flower head almost like a chive flower. Anyone know the name of this garlic. Its on BBC iplayer but cant view it in Ireland. _________________ Paul. |

I saw that programme last night too, and was fascinated by the garlic farm...apparently the biggest in the UK, and on the Isle of Wight.
I wish I could remember the name of that garlic you mention, but can't.....how about trying Nigel Slater's cookery pages ? |

Try this link, Paul...if you can't find the name of that garlic on that website, you could always try emailing the farm and I'm sure they will give you the information you need. |

The garlic in the show was Elephant Garlic. Must give it a try. _________________ Paul. |

Well done, you found out what it was......it was certainly a very striking plant....you could grow it in your flower beds! |
