I was going to put them out in about 2 weeks, reading up on things i thought this was early enough. Do you think it should be sooner?

I'm going to put mine in this weekend. I have a raised bed for them and kept it covered with black plastic over the winter. I'll follow the advice to keep them covered until they appear and then put fleece over them. I see how it goes.

I would normally put the in around St Patrick's Day - an old gardener friend of mine once told me that was the best time !
When I was watching Gardeners World last Spring, Toby Buckland was saying that traditionally Good Friday was the best day for it - although Good Friday unlike St Patricks Day doesnt stick to a specific date !
