Hi Verge,
Thanks for the reply. I checked and the pods I have are from "common laburnum " the anagyroides variety. Sorry to all for the confusion.
They grow to 25 feet high and are apparently quite attractive.

Thanks for the help

This goes some way towards explaining the size.
These seed pods are very toxic.
BenWeedy, could you please ask how to propagate them in the tree section of this forum.

We will try and keep this thread for introductions.
Thanks.

Hi there,

Ian here, based in Claremorris.
We're building a house on 1.3 acre site
about 3-4 miles from Claremorris.

I'm from Dublin and my wife is local.
I'm a late starter on gardening.
As a hayfever sufferer I'm not the most
greenfingured person but I do appreciate
plants & wildlife so I expect to visit this site
quite a bit in the near future.
We're planting trees in the next few
weeks on the boundary of the site so I'll
be looking out for tips,etc.

Laughing Bugs, I must draw your attention to a new Irish gardeners rule, rule 1.5

(1) There is to be absolutely no spamming, flaming, self promotion of your site or products within your posts.
If any of your posts in the forums contains anything like this they will be deleted and you will be given a warning or banned.

(1.5) There is to be no promotion of your blue jersies if a past Dubliner has the good taste to move to the green and red
