I'm planting 2 apple trees in my garden soon and am wondering what is nice to plant under an apple tree. Is there anything that works well, and won't take over the roots of the new trees. I could just mulch them but would like to use plants underneath if possible.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks

hi frangipani
i would recommend pachysandra as it will tolerate shady dry conditions and is evergreen.also the low growing hypericum calycinum |
