I gathered three trailer loads of weed this January and spread it on my percolation area again, I have orla first early potatoes already planted in a raised garden bed, I probably jumped the gun and planted them a few weeks early this season.
Thinking of planting Charlotte as a second early new potato, and not sure what main crop to go for as an all rounder.
With spuds being so cheap in the supermarket its tempting not to grow my own but I just love eating my own vegies and its a very satisfying thing to grow your own produce I recon.
I also have a 25 gallon ex oil drum with the top cut off half full of seaweed that I get liquid fertilizer from and put some on my compost heap as well.
