What an inspired idea ! When the price of oil rockets, we'll all be hiring sheep to cut our grass !

This is the truth. When I lived on a housing estate I leant our big, old goat to a woman to clear her bushes and long grass. After tethering it so it could only reach the end of the garden, we left it to eat, returning that evening. It hadn't toached the grasses, nettles or unwanted bushes, but had utternly stripped her 20 year old apple tree, which she said she had seen it climb up. I thought she'd made it up, and went home muttering, until I found the same goat (over 12 stone in weight) with one hind leg in the first fork of our own apple tree (about three feet up) its other hind leg wagging in the air looking for higher footing. It had it's front legs up over a branch higher than I could reach. Its long neck and even its lips and tongue were employed, streached to the very limit to nibble the base of the higher twigs, ripping them off once hooked in, and thereby guiding big bunches of fresh leaves and baby apples, stem first, down its throat .
Moral: Never, ever, ever underestimate the capabilities of a goat.
