I have just bought a house with a lovely established garden, there is a large red robin bush that seems to be taking over a bit. I don't want to do it any harm, but it does need to be cut back. When is the best time of year to do this?
Thank you for any help |

Prune the red Robin in Spring as the growth is starting. Cut as far back as you can get a viable bud. Within reason the harder you cut bak the more vigorous the growth and the better the colour. prune every 2-3 years.
