Can anyone advise as to when all maincrop potatoes should be lifted i.e. when is very latest i can leave them in as i have a lot and i am battling to lift them .Also there are a lot of small ones.They are half and half ,edible and to small.Can i plant theses small ones next year and how do i keep them over winter .Cheers for the help.

"the maincrop varieties are best tackled after the plants leaves turn yellow. Cut away these yellow stalks and wait for about two weeks before using a garden fork to gently loosen the potatoes from the ground. "
