Cordylines which have flowered this summer there seeds are ready for picking.Cordyline fruit goes white when ripe, there are several small black seeds per fruit, the self sowen ones germanate in spring or summer the following year or if you like pop them in a pot of multy purose compost on a warm window cill and they will soon pop up they are very easy to germinate and will look like a blade of grass for a few weeks. So look out for that cordyline tree near you pick a few seeds and off you go,you will have a nice sized tree in two years. They are very fast growing. |
