Sorry if this is going to sound really stupid to those with some experience.
I have just completed a polytunnel and am anxious to get some plants in to overwinter. I plan on a few things to experiment - onions, caulifower, spinach, lettuce and some carrots to get a headstart in the new year.
I've three questions which are to do with sowing/propogation of seeds.
1. Can I sow indoors and prick out/plant the seedlings outdoors in a few weeks.
2. If so, should I keep the planted seeds in the dark (was thinking hot press) or light?
3. If I do need a propogator, will have to be indoors as no power in the tunnel. So, again - dark or light?
Many thanks! |

Not to worry - got myself a heated propogator, and have the first 80 seeds planted in it. A few popped above ground today so getting excited.
So instead of the three questions above....any tips on propogator growth...dos and don'ts....and how to transfew from there to polytunnel...
I don't ask much do i! |
