Hi
I've a tree (c 30 years old) which has grown through Eircom wires. It desperately needs to be cut back as neighbours are complaining apart from the wires issue.
A tree surgeon won't touch it because of the wires, Eircom don't cut back trees any longer, Dublin City Council won't touch it as they maintain it's on private property though technically this isn't true and ESB won't cut it because they're not their wires. As anybody got any suggestions? |

I say talk to another tree surgeon as this guy sounds like he does not want the job. Telephone wires are extremely low voltage (about 9v if I remember correctly) so the danger or insurance cannot be at issue. In any case a tree surgeon of even moderate ability should be able to take down a tree section by section avoiding any mishaps with the wires.

No they contract in tree surgeons to do that work for them, always have. _________________ 'Unemployment is capitalisms way of getting you to plant a garden'.
