Sorry, away all weekend so I didn't get a chance to reply.

My garden is broken into 3 parts. A small lawn at the front of the house with a little border. Another small lawn with borders between the house and a large shed at the back of the house, then a very long 100m x 15m stretch back from there. I am happy I have the 2 small lawn areas in general although I need to improve the one at the front a little.
The large area is about 66% Lawn(ish) and I can cut it with a ride-on mower easily enough as it is quite flat. The last 33% is on a slope and needs quite a bit of TLC as it is quite bare and full of stone. I have planted 8 Apple Trees in that area, had a crop of Pinks this year as well in a part of it but there is still work to do....
