I am growing several pepper plants in my conservatory which up to a couple of days ago have been doing great with lots of sweet peppers growing. Something is eating the leaves and now has bored a hole right through one of the peppers. I can see droppings but try as I might I cannot find the, I presume, catapillar that is munching through all my stock at a great rate. Can anyone advise me where to look on the plant or how to find/kill the thief. Note: I did find various tiny mites and what looked like cocoons all covered in webbing which I removed. _________________ cw12cat Wexford |

you probably have some cut worms in the house (Noctuidae) or night worms.Check under every flower pot and any material that provides cover and you may discover a caterpillar or two coiled up asleep or scrape back the soil half inch( not deeper) deep and you may unearth something. The small insects you notice with cocoons are probably red spiders.
