Festina Lente is at Old Connaught, Bray. Co. Wicklow. If you are familiar with Bray it's just up from Emmets GAA pitch on the right. Check out their website www.festinalente.ie.

Some of our group met last Saturday and had a terrific evening sitting outside in the Festina Lente Garden, over 100 people there and had a meal (my salad made from veg from comm garden) and it was fabulous, weather was great if a little cold. Some of our group have decided to do it all again next year which is great news, including myself and we met another couple who want to get involved. I think more and more people will want an allotment or a community garden as time goes on.....

A group of people in Castlebridge near Wexford are trying to get a community garden off the ground. There's a fabulous site for it in the walled garden of an old house right in the centre of the village. It's massively overgrown at the moment and the County Council still have to be persuaded to give us a lease on the grounds. There are some photos here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=27566&id=1359250466
It's great to see other gardens that are already up and running.
