Hi guys.

I dug some of my spuds today and noticed a lot of them have white spots on them. I was hoping some of you knowledgeable folk here might be able to tell me whether it's something to worry about or not. The variety are CARA and I have sprayed them with Dithane every two weeks since blight warning. Also will slug damaged spuds store or should they be considered a lost cause. I don't want to poison anyone on my first attempt at spud growing. I have tried unsuccessfully to put up a pic, so sorry if info is scant.

the white spots on the potatoes a re known as lenticels. These are natural pores for exchange of gas and moisture and are white while immature but will fade to the same colour as the skin later on, they are present on all potatoes and dithane had no influence on their appearance. Everything is ok.
