Hi All...

I have a raised bed with a few broccoli plants growing (both white & purple). Two of the purple are sprouting already and I'm harvesting the sprouts. Isn't this a bit early? and once they've done their job, should I dig them up or should I keep them there til next spring?

the seed of purple sprouting broccoli is usually sown in May transplanted in late June or early July. you must have sown or planted it too early.

It could be one of the early sprouting varieties although I've never managed to harvest this any earlier than the normal varieties Confused
