Hi, just wondering if anybody tried the above? Have just been browsing the site and came across a post made in 2006 and from what I've read and a little surfing on the net it sounds like a wonderful product. If anyone has used it and had good results would be grateful for any info on where it can be obtained in Ireland, from what sites I visited seems like only from America or India.
Thanks.

I don't think you can get it in Europe yet. You may have to import it, unless someone has already started to do that in the last couple of years.
It's been used by orchid growers for years, but now there is very conflicting opinion about it causing severe damage, physically and genetically, to plants. I think the ongoing consensus is to use with extreme care. It's made in India mainly, other countries (Ithink) are considering trials and licences for it's use.
If properly applied it can be benificial, but the line between proper and improper use may well be very thin.
Bill.

Thanks for reply Bill, did a bit more research on net last night and it doesn't seem to be available here. Regarding the line, knowing me,I'd be a mile over it lol as still only learning, so think I'll stick with what little I do know (can hear sighs of relief coming from veggie patch, lol).

I've only seen it in cream form to use on insect bites and any other itches. It works really well.

Hi there,

Neem oil can be easily found in health food shops - I mix it with hot water and grated neem and citronella soap (the one they sell in Oxfam wrapped in a burgundy paper is excellent!) and spray it on my plants. It's very effecting in controlling (alas, not eliminating) even red spider mite and whitefly!

Not sure where you can buy the actual plant (or its seeds), though.
