Hello to everyone on the site.

To introduce myself I am the definition of a beginner, never had a garden to work on previously. My only experience would be helping my Dad when I was younger.

My garden is north facing (bad I guess) and WET. The soil is heavy and after one goes down a spade or so in depth, the soil is very hard and full of large rocks (mango/turnip size). That's not helping the drainage I guess.

Before I moved into my house the garden was, well a flooded jungle. So I cut it down to size and dug out the weeds. I replaced the soil I took out with new topsoil and laid some lawn seed. I also put two raised beds at the far end of the garden.

Photos will be posted very soon. I would love to sort out my drainage problems and hopefully put some shape on the garden. Look forward to sorting it out with some help from your good selves.

Welcome Cityblowin. So much done so far, and you are well on your way to a beautiful garden. Lots more to do though. Shocked I'm sure most folk on here will be able to help you. Wink
