This morning was one of those Indian summer days. I had some work on, but could not be bothered , so I waited until everyone had left the house for work and school and decided to go on the mitch . Laughing
Destination the Dublin mountains (hills) halfway up I knew I had made the right decision .
The sun beaming and glittering and toasting the morning alive
in the quiet calm of Autumn
with high pressure and no pressure
silence and solitude the mountain beckoned .
I'm 20 minutes away from a city of 1 1/4 million people

Glenasmole is a hidden gem , the lake is man made and supplies water to Dublin

Luggala House is hidden in the main bunch of trees Laughing Michael Jackson is supposed to have stayed there last month , at 30000 yo yos a week its pricy

Then on up the old military road towards Glencree

A Dublin bog
In Glencree I decide to visit the German Cemetary for the war dead of WW1 and WW2 . What a place to be buried , the peace and tranquility was remarkable , it is in a natural amphitheature and the sound of the nearby stream is beautiful

This the stream the runs beside the graveyard

Who says adults can't have fun

Mitching = skiving or 'playing truant' from work or school

Teacher : 'Where is Bugs today?'
Pupil : 'Ah Miss, he's mitching!'
Class sniggers

Quality images of the Dublin mountains, Bugs.
Did you find any of the generals buried treasure up there. Laughing

Sad these images are making me home sick, the weather here in Finland is a typical west of Ireland day, wind and rain. No harm in taking the day off ..

Great photos of the dublin mountains Bugs. I especially love the look of the grass growing through the cobbles in the graveyard.
