Hello all

I am new to this eletronic garden. I posted a note regarding advice for bulb planting this September, but in the excitement of the whole thing I forgot to introduce myself. I am not one of those "cowgirls " who post drive by posts.
I am a visual artist from Co. Clare and I am currently here in Finland doing an artist residency and I have about another week left. On my mind is the amount of work that is ahead of me at home. I am starting a big planting project towards the end of the month and I needed some advice.
I am a lover of all things garden, but not the lawn type of garden. As I live on a farm , it is a bit more of disorganized looking space, but rather beautiful ,as it is a mature space. So I wish to conserve, rather that demolish and build a surburban style garden. Do I make sense yet.
I will post photos when I get back so people can see the project in process.
Finland, the most peaceful place in the world, one thing that I notice, is everyone has there own plot for pototoes and lettuces, dill and onions. The Finnish are avid about their berries and they pick them by the kilo this time of the year, blueberries, lingonberries and cloudberries. It is sad to say, but in Ireland we see to have gotten away from eating from the soil, all from Dunnes Stores, nothing else will do.
Thats my shout for today, the weather is cloudy, there sun is expected tommorow. Cool

Welcome Aine, agree with verge about the good introduction. I also sniggered at the Dunne Stores comment (partly because it is true) Smile
