This is my first year growing veg and i have so far avoided using chemicals. I researched quite alot on the subject of blight and it appears to me that horsetail might be my solution. Because of my bad timing I could not prepare fresh horsetail and I've had to use dried horsetail bought in a health food shop. I did not need much of this as i have only a handful of plants this year.
I was wondering have many to you used this method of protection before and do any of you have any tips in using this method or any other tips on organic blight control?
Also does anyone know is there any truth to the myth that growing a Hemp plant in with potatoes that it helps protect against blight? |

Nobody has been able to prove it, they've all ended up in jail
I haven't heard of it.

It was an elderly man that lives in my village that told me about it. He claimed a friend of his succesfully grow his spuds like this until the police said "old man stop growing canabis to protect your potatoes, because monsorato want your money" or something to that effect.
I guess its only a matter of time till all organic treatments are illegal |
