has anyone successfully germinated pansy seed as ive tried several times and never had much success so im wondering is there a specific knack to it. I've tried in a propagator and on the bench but to no avail. Would be great if someone can advise. Thanks |

back to basics, for germination to take place the seed requires heat air and moisture. temperature should be around 60, good seed compost (peat based) and needs to be watered after sowing. Sowing depth is important not deeper than one eight of an inch. enclose the seed tray in a plastic bag after watering to capacity or run off point. Keep the temperature constant as soon as germination starts place in full light.
