I've been around for a little while but haven't had a chance to formally intorduce myself yet. So Hello everyone.
A bit of background. I built a new house last year on a 1 acre site in Co Kildare. At the moment I'm very busy doing hard landscaping, trying to get the place safe for my two young boys. I have the whole area seeded (down about three weeks) I'm a garden novice so no planting done yet. Currently I'm in the middle of building a 30M retaining wall with railway sleepers and next is to get sleepers down as kerbs along my driveway. Maybe next year I can start tinking about flowers and plants but for the moment it's mini diggers and shovels.
So far I've found this site to be a brilliant source of information, not only from a gardening point of view but on using the internet too (i'm a bit of a technophobe ) Hopefully over the years as my garden develops I can use this site as my primary source for inspiration and information. As I say, I'm a gardening novice but have done a lot of building work and hard landscaping in my time so if I can be of any help please don't hesitate to ask. |
