As my user name suggests, and my signature, I lack experience!
I was wondering what I would expect to pay to get a garden plan made up?
We have built on a 3/4 acre site.
I was hoping that a plan would be made from which we could work off of over the next few years.
Any suggestions, tips, advice and/or experience appreciated. _________________ Learner Gardener Alert~apologies in advance! |

Hi Blank Canvas
Depending on your level of commitment to the garden, how about just a pencil and pad and make yourself a rough sketch with accurate measurements.
Photocopy your original and you scribble and develop your ideas on the copies.
There is software out there.. but like I said,,, it depends on your level of commitment.

Thanks for that~level of commitment will be low for the next bit as we have 2 small children, but would love it to be a work in progress and a common interest for us all, by incorporating a veg & fruit patch for the children.
Good idea re paper and pencil drawing~we seem to do alot of talking and no sketching,
We are currently erecting an enterance, as we feel that will determine where we go to from there. _________________ Learner Gardener Alert~apologies in advance! |

Feel free to scan your sketch, or post some pics, and the fellow friendly users will flood you with suggestions. And naturally answers any queries you have.

I have designed a couple of basic plans based on 1 acre sites with some software I have, if you like, send me the general dimensions of your site and what you want from it and I can design it up and forward it on to you.
I will also update it over the following months if you so require.
